Local hospice group hires two employees

Home Health and Hospice of Illinois, serving Morris, Channahon, Minooka, Coal City and North Central Illinois, hired Rose Sullivan as a marketing representative and Rev. Debra Wenger as chaplain.

The organization, with a local office in Morris is “dedicated to being an agency that provides quality care and service in a caring, ethical and respectful manner.”

Sullivan has been involved in health care since 2005.  She carries a degree in marketing, is a Certified LTA and is competent in the skilled nursing, supportive and assisted living arena. She is a senior care advocate and specializes in acting as a community liaison, reaching out to help physicians, social services, clients and the general public.

“I have a high standard work ethic, believe in quality care and going above and beyond when it comes to senior health care,” she says.

Sullivan lives in Ottawa, Ill. She is a mother of three and grandmother of two.

Rev. Wenger has an AAS in Marketing, a bachelor’s degree in theology. She is an ordained minister with WEF of Louisiana.

Wenger assist’s in pastoring two churches in Ottawa and Peoria, Ill., alongside her husband, was an elected school board official for the Freeport School Dist. #145, Phi Theta Kappa member, served on the March of Dimes, Horizon House Fundraising Committee, and an Ottawa Chamber of Commerce team member.

“The main focus of Hospice of Illinois is to provide palliative care for individuals and their families who face a life-limiting illness,” Wenger said. “Our desire is to bring comfort and a peace of mind during the final steps of life’s journey.”
