JOLIET, Ill. — What does Joliet’s very own Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center have in common with Northwestern, Rush, University of Chicago and Loyola University Medical Center?
They were all selected as hospitals to consider if you or a family member finds out they have a serious illness.
Chicago Magazine’s recently ranked Saint Joseph in Joliet among the best hospitals in the Chicago area. Of the 97 hospitals in the six-county metro area, Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center ranked 11th on the prestigious list. The magazine analyzed data on medical quality from various sources, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the American Hospital Association and the Illinois Department of Public Health. The data was weighted by topics of survival, reputation, facilities and services, staffing, and safety.
