Mr. Glen F. Kinzler, 85, of Morris, passed away early Sunday morning, Feb. 17, 2013, at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Glen was b orn Nov. 24, 1927, in his parent's Frank and Ida Morrken Kinzler’s home in Troy Township, Will County. He married the love of his life A. Faye Gutzman in Morris.
Glen was employed with Federal Paper Board Company in Morris and then with Embassy Care Center in Wilmington before returning to Morris, where he was employed with the Holiday Inn.
He enjoyed spending time visiting with his friends and family, and truly found that special feeling that one receives from their grandchildren.
Survivors include his four children, Patty and her husband Bill Lawson of Chenoa, Ill., Mike and his wife Kathy Kinzler of Las Vegas, Nev., Tom and his wife Terry Kinzler of Morris, and Kevin and his wife Nancy Kinzler of Morris; 10 grandchildren, Willliam E. (Onawa) Shepherd, Brandon L. (Katie) Shepherd, Jessica, Allysa, Rebecca and Dylan Kinzler, Stephanie (Calvin) Coleman, Stephen (Katie) Kinzler, Eric (Courtney) Ferrara and Douglas (Tifanie) Ferrara; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife on Oct. 7, 1990; one daughter, Mary Beth Gutzman; one sister; and four brothers.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at U. C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 301 W. Washington St., Morris, where funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013. Rev. Scott McClellan of the First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Preferred form of remembrance would be memorial gifts in Glen’s memory directed to the Mosaic Homes in Dwight, Ill.
Serving as his pallbearers will be William and Brandon Shepherd, Stephanie Coleman, Stephen Kinzler, Eric and Doug Ferrara.
