Mr. Kenneth E. Fischer Sr., 60, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at his home with his family by his side.
Born in St. Louis, Mo., Kenneth was the son of Karl and Patricia (Clark) Fischer, relocating to Morris in 1978. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving in the Vietnam War.
Kenneth was employed at K-Plus Mechanical and a member of Pipefitter's Local #597. He enjoyed motocross racing and stock car racing.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Deborah A. (Bartleson); his sons, Kenneth Fischer Jr. and Kevin (Christy) Fischer, both of Morris; his daughter, Kristen (Josh) Clark of Champaign, Ill.; his five grandchildren, Jade, Kole, Ryan and Matthew Fischer, and Christopher Northern; his brothers, Kim and Kermit (Dorian) Fischer; his sister, Kristine (John) Eyres, all of Missouri; and many special friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Karl Fischer; and daughter, Jamie Fischer.
Funeral services for Kenneth E. Fischer will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Troy Wood will officiate.
Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors to be conducted by the United States Marines.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. U.S. at Deerpath Dr., Morris.
