MESA, Ariz. — Mr. Charles E. “Chuck” Pearson, 75, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix.

Visitation and funeral services, celebrated by Pastor Brian Welsh, were held Feb. 13. Burial was at Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery in Mesa.

Chuck was born Aug. 1, 1937, in Streator, Ill., the son of Oscar and Myrtle Pearson. He was raised and lived many years in Dwight, Ill., before moving to Arizona in 1988. He was a long-time farmer in the Goodfarm area.

After moving to Arizona, Chuck owned a Big O Tire store. Even after retiring, he continued to work in the tire industry.

Being a farmer by nature, Chuck loved to garden, worked endlessly in his yard, camp with his family, and be the family handyman.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marolyn Brown Pearson, and his three children, Sherry (Mike) Booth of Chandler, Ariz., Shelly (Brian) Riccolo of Mesa, Ariz., and Timm (Jana Koelsch) Pearson of Fort Mill, S.C. He adored his beautiful granddaughters, Zoe and Mia Riccolo and Annika Pearson. He is also survived by his sister, Margie (Dale) Brown of Mesa, Ariz.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Marilyn Davis.

Friends may send condolences to Marolyn and family in care of Sherry Booth at 2305 W. Sagebrush Dr., Chandler, Ariz., 85224.
