CAROL STREAM — Minooka totaled 93 points to easily defeat host Glenbard North (33) and South Elgin (28) in a varsity boys track and field triad Wednesday.
Brock Whalen won the shot put with a throw of 51-10, which beat his prior personal best by 2-6. Peter Andreano won the high jump with a height of 6-2, and did so without practicing prior to the meet.
Other Minooka winners were the 4x800 (9:11.0), 4x160 (1:18.0) and 4x400 (3:52.0) relay teams, Zach Zamora in the 55 high hurdles (7.8) and the 55 low hurdles (7.7), Nolan Barajas in the triple jump (38-4), Will O’Connell in the 1,600 run (4:55.0), Alex Pierce in the 3,200 run (9:49), Jake Smith in the long jump (20-2) and Jake Stytz in the 400 dash (57.0).
Minooka also won the sophomore meet with 111 points. Chris Hopkins was a double winner in the 55 dash (6.6) and the 200 dash (24.3) for the Indians.

St. Anne Regional
ST. ANNE — Gardner-South Wilmington-Braceville went 3-0 over the past week for the championship. It defeated Herscher 25-20, 25-16, Mazon-Verona Kinsman 25-11, 25-11and Grant Park 25-15, 25-11.

Nettle Creek 44,
Ben Larson had 20 points and Carson Nusbaumer 8 for Nettle Creek’s “A” team.
In the “B” game, Nettle Creek won 42-12 behind 13 points from Connor Greve and 10 from Nusbaumer.
