(MCT) CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. — A Central High School student is accused of placing a pin-hole camera in the boys' locker room at the Crystal Lake school.

Luke Patrick Gildea, 17, of Crystal Lake, was charged Thursday with unauthorized video recording, a felony, according to a police. Bail of $15,000 was set during a hearing this morning in McHenry County, police said.

The charges were filed after District 155 officials notified police about the camera. WGN-TV reports that images of boys were found in the camera, which was not capable of transmitting the pictures.

The camera was discovered around 7 a.m. Thursday and the time stamp on the recordings led officials to Gildea, a student at the school, authorities said.

The school told parents that all locker rooms and bathrooms were searched at Crystal Lake Central, as well as at all high schools in the district.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call Crystal Lake police at 815-356-3620.
