Cody Jacob Carter

WILMINGTON, Ill. — Mr. Cody Jacob Carter, 15, of Wilmington, Ill., passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 12, 2013, due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Born March 22, 1997, in Joliet, Ill., Cody was currently a sophomore at Wilmington High School. He was a member of the Wilmington Cub Scouts. He enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, baseball, four-wheeling, electronics, and his air-soft gun.

Cody’s future plans were to become an EMT/firefighter. He loved all animals, especially his horse; his cat, Cupcake; and his dog, Fabel.

Surviving are his father, David (Diane) Carter of Wilmington; his mother, Regina (nee Daniels) (Cory) Bohmann of Morris, Ill.; brothers David “D.J.” Carter of Marseilles, Ill., and Cory Bohmann of Morris, Ill.; a step-sister, Ashley Swabb of Joliet, Ill.; maternal grandparents Gordayle and Rosenna Daniels of Marseilles; paternal grandparents Kenneth and Doris Lain of Custer Park, Ill., and David G. Carter of Rockdale, Ill.; and his close friend, Nick Pitts of Wilmington.

Visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes Ltd. & Crematory, Braidwood Chapel, 401 E. Main St. Braidwood, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Funeral service will also be Saturday, March 16, at 1 p.m.

Interment will be in Custer Township Cemetery in Custer Park, Ill.
