MJHS wins three, loses three

The Minooka Junior High Schoool Scholastic Bowl team continued to improve its record with a 235-155 victory over Coal City.

Despite the score, Minooka and Coal City were holding even most of the match, until the second half when the Indians pulled ahead behind Tim Doody’s 40 points.

Mick Ward, Joe Rhodes and Jacob Havard all scored in the victory. 

The ‘‘B” team came up a tad bit short in their 115-105 loss in the second match. Sixth Grader, Dylan Blough, scored an impressive 40 points.

In a previous match, the Scholastic Bowl team recorded a 305-100 thrashing of Dwight. Almost every player for Minooka scored in the match to help better the team record to 4-2.

The “B” team also competed very well, but came up short 195-165.

The Minooka Junior High Scholastic Bowl Team’s record fell to 3-2 after being defeated by MVK. It was a tight match, but Minooka came up short 155-120.

Joe Rhoades and Jacob Havard combined for 50 points.

The “B” team, however, had an impressive 170-105 victory behind Jack Murphy’s 30 points.
