Candidates offer some words of appreciation

Published: Thursday, March 21, 2013 9:55 a.m. CST

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended our Team Take Back District 54 Meet & Greet at Chapin’s on Friday, March 8.

We would also like to thank Scott and Dianne Breslar for providing their largest room and the boundless service, this along with the delectable hors d’oeuvres made the perfect environment for such an occasion.

We missed all our supporters who were unable to attend, but we know all of you were there in spirit.  However, still a great turn out. Standing room only!

We hope those who did attend and those who were meeting us for the first time can now put faces with names and have firsthand clarity about who we are, what we are about, our beliefs, our goals, our likes, our dislikes, and how we hope to bring the community back into our schools.

It was our pleasure to meet and speak with many of you personally and to have the opportunity to speak to everyone as a group.  It was our pleasure to take your questions and hear your concerns.  We hope our answers met these questions and concerns satisfactorily.

Team Take Back District 54 is looking forward to bringing our schools back to when it was a place of administrative professionalism and respect and a safe and collaborative environment for teaching and learning.

Team Take Back District 54 is looking forward to actively supporting the excellent staff in the most important business of educating our children. We would like to see our district return to a place where staff, certified and non-certified, want to come and work.

We would like to see our administration be able to return to the days when there was a sense of family that we heard so much about on Friday, March 8.

If you also support these ideas and beliefs, please don’t forget to vote in the upcoming election on April 9, or you may early vote starting March 25 through April 6.
