Kay Lynn Shoemaker resigned Wednesday from her position as Grundy County Health Department Administrator.

According to Joan Harrop, board of health president, Shoemaker did not give a reason for her resignation.

Shoemaker will continue in her role until a replacement is found, as per a board request.

Harrop said the board will begin its search for a replacement by advertising for the position.

Shoemaker could not be reached for comment as of press time.
