Marguerite M. Blair

MINOOKA — Mrs. Robert (Marguerite M.) Blair, 96, of Minooka, Ill., passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side in her home late Saturday evening, April 6, 2013.

Born Dec. 14, 1916, in Morris, Ill., She was the daughter of Fred and Marguerite Moran Bright.  She received her education in the Morris schools  and graduated from Morris High School.

Marguerite married Robert G. Blair on Jan. 4, 1941, in Morris.

Together they farmed in the Minooka area for 30 years. She was also employed with Jemco Engineering in Minooka for many years before entering retirement.

Surviving are her four loving children, Carol Marso of Sun Prairie, Wis., Janet Burgin, and her husband, Don, of Euless, Texas, Joyce Satorius, and her husband, Walt, of Minooka, Ill., and Gerald Blair, and his wife, Marjorie, of Minooka; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy (George) Hyland of Chicago; two brothers, Don (Ruth) Bright of Morris, and Glenn (Peg) Bright of Estero, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Robert Blair, on Aug. 11, 1991; a daughter in infancy; and two brothers, Earl and Robert Bright.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 11, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Brent Molskness of the Minooka Bible Church will officiate at U. C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 301 W. Washington St., Morris. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Joliet, Ill.

Preferred form of remembrance would be memorial gifts in Marguerite’s memory directed to the Minooka or Morris fire departments.
