Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers has welcomed Dr. Laura Kucinski to its medical staff. She sees adults and children as young as 9 years old in her Coal City and Morris offices.
Dr. Kucinski is an internal medicine physician who began her career as a physician assistant. After working several years in this role, she went back to school to pursue the career that she says likely was her true calling.
She received her medical degree and completed an internship and three year residency with Midwestern University – Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Kucinski says she loves establishing relationships with patients and their families.
While she practices under the name Kucinski to honor her father’s memory, Dr. Kucinski’s legal name is Kucinski-Chiarappa, and in the Coal City community, she’s known as Laura Chiarappa.
A native of the south suburbs, Dr. Kucinski and her family moved to Coal City last summer. She and her husband became familiar with the area while visiting family, and they were impressed with the people they met and things they learned about the community.
She and her husband, Michael, are the parents of three children who all attend Coal City schools.
Dr. Kucinski serves as a volunteer for the Coal City High School wrestling and football teams, Habitat for Humanity, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Dr. Kucinski can be reached at 460 N. Broadway in Coal City, (815) 634-8690, and at 114 W. Waverly in Morris, (815) 942-8210.
