Hospice social evening planned for April 25

The 28th annual social evening for Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Maria’s Ristorante in Morris.

New board members will be introduced at this time.

Reservations are $15 per person and can be made by caliing the hospice office at (815) 942-8525.

Grundy Community Vol-unteer Hospice is a non-profit organization licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health as a volunteer hospice with services of nursing(contracted), bereavement and counseling.

Hospice is a concept of care which provides physical, social, emotional, and spiritual support for the terminal patient and their families.

Hospice neither hastens nor postpones death.  It affirms life and regards dying as a normal process.

Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice is funded by United Way of Grundy County, memorials, memberships, donations, fundraisers, and the Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice Auxiliary.

There is no cost to the family for hospice services.

The hospice office is located at 518 W Illinois Avenue, in CanalPort Community Center, Morris.
