‘Who’s on First’ is ‘On The Air’

Classic radio to take stage in Yorkville April 26, 27 and 28

Abbott and Costello’s famous comedy routine, “Who’s on First,” is included in a memorable medley of classic radio shows, as Fox Country Players prepares to stage “On the Air” on April 26, 27 and 28 at the Community Christian Church in Yorkville.

Directed by Fox Country Players’ veteran actor and director, Jim Stott, the production features episodes of old-time radio shows, including Sergeant Preston of the Yukon - “Challenge of the Yukon,” Abbot and Costello - “Who’s on First,” Ellery Queen – “The Adventure of the Murdered Ship,” Dragnet - “The Case of the Copper Clapper,” Gunsmoke - “The Guitar,” Easy Aces - “Jane Thinks Mink,” Boston Blackie - “Blackie and the Fur Trade,” and Life of Riley - “The Lawnmower Company.”

The cast includes Dean Childs, Zach Frisch, and Jim Stott of Yorkville; Rich LeCropane,  Cheryl LeCropane and Robin Earnest of Oswego; Deb Merkel and Tom Merkel of Sandwich; Matt Johnson of Newark; Paula Svendsen of Plano; Brian Rehor of Utica; and Marcia Swanson of Bristol.

The show will be presented on April 26 and 27 at 7 p.m., and on April 28 at 2 p.m. at the Community Christian Church, 129 Commercial Drive, Yorkville, Ill.

Tickets are priced at $10, with ticket for students and seniors priced at $8.
