NuMark conducts annual meeting

Published: Wednesday, May 1, 2013 9:45 a.m. CDT

Recently, at its annual meeting, NuMark Credit Union re-elected its volunteer board of directors.

Credit unions differ from other financial institution as they are not-for-profit, financial cooperatives owned and operated by their members. Instead of paid stockholders, they are led by a volunteer board of directors.

“We had an outstanding year in 2012. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff, our credit union grew in membership and asset size,” said Richard Sheedy, chairman.

“To show our appreciation, in December the board of directors authorized a special 5 percent checking account dividend for the month of December and a 5 percent loan interest rebate.”

NuMark Credit Union is a full-service financial cooperative and its mission is to enrich the financial lives of their members. The credit union continually looks for ways to help its members save money.

NuMark has partnered with local auto dealers to offer special financing and discounts. It offers free financial seminars, as well as a Bank at School Program. NuMark’s staff will even show members how to improve their credit scores, so they can save money on future financing.

The credit union still offers free checking, free mobile banking, free bill pay and many more free or low-cost services. It can assist members of the community with low-cost financing for new or pre-driven vehicles, as well as financing for homeowners and first-time homebuyers.

NuMark Credit Union has been helping members purchase homes, make home improvements, pay college tuition, consolidate debt, and refinance their autos.

“We have money to lend and are ready to help you save money on all your lending needs,” says Ann M. Dubie, president and CEO.

“It is easy to join us if you live or work in the area.”

NuMark Credit Union is open to the public. They have four convenient offices in Joliet, Crest Hill, Countryside and Tinley Park. NuMark Credit Union has been serving this community for over 58 years.
