Casey T. Stepp, 18, of Coal City, pleaded guilty to an April 5 charge of possession of cannabis, greater than 2.5 grams. Stepp was sentenced to 12 months court supervision and ordered to pay $610 in fines and costs. Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, consumption of liquor by a minor and transportation of alcohol by a passenger were dismissed pending the plea agreement.
Victor M. Guzman, 39, 374 Twilight Dr., pleaded guilty to an April 6 charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 24 months court supervision and ordered to pay $1,600 in fines and costs. He also has to attend counseling and the Victim Impact Panel A charge of speeding more than 40 mph over the limit was dismissed pending the plea agreement.
