A Seneca man was charged with DUI after crashing his pickup truck on Illinois 71, near Interstate 80, Friday, May 3.

Michael K. Hawkins, 40, was westbound on Interstate 80, traveling at a high rate of speed, when he lost control of his vehicle as he attempted to exit onto Illinois 71.

Hawkins drove into a ditch, spun around and came to rest against a tree.
