A Morris woman was arrested by Morris police on a DUI charge after crashing her car Tuesday night.

Peggy McGinnis, 45, hit a stop sign at the intersection of Price Street and Washington Street in Morris as police arrived on the scene in response to a call about an erratic driver.

Police charged McGinnis with DUI and cited her for having a BAC over .08, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

McGinnis posted bond and was released with a June 3 court date.
