COAL CITY — The Illinois 113-BNSF Railway Company grade crossing in Coal City will be closed beginning Sunday, May 12, for approximately 10 days to allow the BNSF Railway Company to reconstruct their crossing.
Detour routes will be posted, with eastbound Illinois 113 traffic being diverted south on Illinois 47 to Interstate 55 and then back north on I-55 to Illinois 113. Westbound traffic will proceed south on Interstate 55 to Illinois 47 and then north on Illinois 47 back to Illinois 113.
Motorists are urged to use caution and expect some delays while traveling on the detour route.
Dulcimer Fest returns weekend of June 8 & 9
The 24th annual Gebhard Woods Dulcimer and Tradi-tional Music Festival will be June 8 and 9, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, at Gebhard Woods State Park in Morris.
There will be 16 concerts with more than 70 workshops held.

Board of Health meets on Wednesday, May 15
There will be a meeting of the Grundy County Board of Health on Wednesday, May 15.
The 6:30 p.m. meeting will be held in the Grundy County Administration Center, 1320 Union St., Morris.
Wendy’s Cruisers meet each Monday evening
The Wendy’s Cruisers of Morris are having their 8th year of antique car, truck, cycle “Cruise Ins” in 2013.
The group meets Mondays from 5 to 9 p.m. all year round at the Wendy’s Restaurant on Illinois 47 in Morris. This is a free event open to the public, whether you have an antique vehicle or not.
The Cruisers also have “Car Cruises” for scenic trips along historic Route 66 and also along the beautiful Illinois river to Starved Rock State Park and Buffalo Rock State Park in Utica, and other places in the summer and fall.
Other events in the past have been concerts in the lot, movies, and more.
