Rezin Orthopedics calls for scholarship applicants

The physicians of Rezin Orthopedics and Sports Medicine are pleased to announce their 11th annual call for scholarship applicants.

Two $1,000 scholarships will be given to individuals living in the counties of Grundy, Kendall, La Salle, Livingston, or Will who will be graduating in the spring of 2013 from high school or who are currently enrolled in a university or community college.

Eligible applicants must be enrolling in or be enrolled in the field of medicine, which includes, but is not limited to, pre-med, physical therapy, occupational therapy, sports medicine, athletic training, physician assistant, medical technician, or nursing.

Last year, Ariana Wilson of Minooka and Kevin Wendling of Morris were selected as the 2012 scholarship winners. Wilson and Wendling were chosen after a very difficult selection process from an exceptional group of more than 70 candidates.

They were each awarded $1,000 to be used to help with the costs associated with their education. Wilson is a graduate of Minooka Community High School and is presently enrolled at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, persuing her passion of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.

Wendling is a graduate of Morris Community High School and is currently enrolled at St. Ambrose University in Iowa. He plans to pursue his doctorate degree in physical therapy.
