Marion V. Linnemann

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Mrs. Marion V. (Nelson) Linnemann, 94, passed away May 18, 2013, at Regency Nursing Home in Lafayatte, Ind., where she had resided for the past five years.

Because of ill health, she moved to Lafayette, Ind., in 2005 to live with her son, Ronald, and daughter-in-law, Nancy. She and her husband, Karl, had moved from Chicago Heights, Ill., to Morris, Ill., in 1965.

Born Oct. 5, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Robert Earl and Hildur (Olson) Nelson.She is survived by two children, Hugh (Noreen) Karl and Vienna, Va., and Mary Anderson of Lansing, Ill.; and daughters-in-law Valerie Linnemann of Mokena, Ill., and Nancy Linnemann of Lafayette, Ind. She has eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Marion was choir director of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for many years and belonged to the ladies aid group and Bible study with Pastor Lombardo. She was loved by everyone whose life she touched as a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Earl; her husband; and two children, Ronald Karl Linnemann and Wayne Karl Linnemann.

Visitation was held in Lafayette, Ind., on Wednesday, May 22, at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, with one hour of visitation prior, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 202 W. Jefferson St., Morris. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
