Leslie Earl Geisert

Mr. Leslie Earl Geisert, 83, of Morris, Ill., passed away with his loving family by his side Tuesday morning, June 4, 2013 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris, with Pastor Patrick Lohse officiating. Visitation will also be Saturday, from 9:30 a.m until the time of the service at the church.

Per the wishes of Les, cremation rites have been accorded.

Born Sept. 27, 1929, in Washburn, Wis., he was the son of Lawrence and Angeline (Landry) Geisert. He graduated from Washburn High School and attended Northland College in Ashland, Wis.

Mr. Geisert married Geraldine Henderson in 1955.

Les retired from DuPont after 37 years as a clerical superintendent. He began his career at the Barksdale, Wis., plant and was transferred to plants in Biwabek, Minn., and Seneca, Ill. When the local plant was closed, he continued with ETI and LaRoche.

Survivor’s include his wife, Geraldine; one son, Roger (Oey) Geisert in Minneapolis; one daughter, Leslie B. Stephens of Woodbury, Minn; and two grandchildren, Jake Stephens and Nolan Geisert.

Les was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Lawrence, Kenneth, Donald and Roland. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Preferred memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
