The Drama Guild Studio presents “Harvey,” the classic comedy by Mary Chase, at St. Joseph Academy in Joliet for three performances: Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, June 16, at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, and are available at the door.
The play is produced in cooperation with the St. Joseph Academy School of the Arts and will be presented in their air-conditioned Studio Theatre.
St. Joseph Academy, which is a private elementary school and Montessori preschool/kindergarten, is located at 51 W. Jackson in downtown Joliet, just east of the Jackson St. bridge.
“Harvey” is the story of the six-foot-tall white rabbit that only Elwood P. Dowd can see. His sister Veta and niece Myrtle want to have him committed, but Elwood — and Harvey — have other ideas.
Directed by Tom Novotny, the play features an ensemble cast consisting of local actors Leon Briick, Brenda Gilmore, Laurel Hays, David Ketcik, Peter Koenig, Carrie Lee, Serena Magosky, Mike Manolakes, Tina Matriciano, Jan Novotny, Peter Piane, and Maurice Williams.
“Harvey” is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.
