Arrests follow underage drinking party in Utica

A large underage drinking party in Utica early Thursday, June 20, resulted in the arrests of four Chicago teens.

At 12:52 a.m., La Salle County deputies were called by staff at the Grand Bear Lodge, 2643 Illinois 178, Utica, for a large underage drinking party that was out of control with subjects refusing to leave from Villa 22.

After arriving deputies were confronted with a large, uncooperative crowd. As a result, they requested assistance and officers from Oglesby, La Salle, Peru and the Illinois State Police arrived to assist.

Four subjects were taken into custody and the remainder of the crowd was disbursed.

Jeremy L. Carr, 18, of Chicago, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer, unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of cannabis less than 30 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sarah A. Crabbe, 18, of Chicago, was arrested for obstructing and resisting a peace officer and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Two 17-year-olds, both of Chicago, were also arrested for obstructing a peace officer.

Carr and Crabbe posted bond at La Salle County Jail and were released.

The juveniles were released to their parents.
