Churches still hosting VBS

Channahon United Methodist Church will host ‘Kingdom Rocks’ Vacation Bible School this summer.

Free for everyone, VBS will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening from Sunday, July 21, through Thursday, July  25.

VBS is open to students from age 3, provided they are potty trained, through fifth grade. Parents, other adults, and older kids are welcome to join the fun as crew leaders or station helpers.

At Kingdom Rock VBS,  kids enter an epic adventure that empowers them to stand strong for God.  Here, God’s victorious power isn’t a fairy tale – it changes kids forever.

Phelan Acres Bible Church

Investigation Destination Vacation Bible School will take place at Phelan Acres Bible Church from July 22-26.

Planned for 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each of those days, the VBS is open to children from age 3 through eighth grade.

There will be Bible stories, crafts, skits, snacks, prizes and more.

St. Mary’s of Minooka

St. Mary’s of Minooka will hold Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon each day during the week of July 29 to Aug. 2. 

The theme this year is “Marvelous Mystery, The Mass Comes Alive.”

While the program is designed for children entering preschool through fourth grade, those going into fifth grade through adults are needed to help. 

Registration forms and fees were due July 11. Registration forms and volunteer forms are available in the back of church and at the rectory.

St. Mary’s Church is at 303 W St Mary’s St, Minooka.
