MADISON, Wis. — Seneca resident Margy Weber will present a lecture titled “Cot-ton Theory Quilting – Quilt First, Then Assemble” and teach a Sit & Sew workshop titled “Cotton Theory Courthouse Combo Wall Hanging” at Quilt Expo in Madison, Wis.

Quilt Expo’s lectures are given by notable quilting authorities, and provide an opportunity for quilters to acquire new ideas from leading quilting educators. Sit & Sew workshops allow attendees to learn, practice and master new techniques on state-of-the-art sewing machines.

The Quilt Expo, presented by Wisconsin Public Tele-vision (WPT) and Nancy Zieman Productions LLC, runs Thursday, Sept. 5, through Saturday, Sept. 7, in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

Other highlights include a 10-category quilt contest, hundreds of quilts on exhibit, a vendor mall, stage presentations, hands-on workshops, nationally known celebrity presenters, the opportunity to meet public television’s Nancy Zieman, a prize raffle and two evening events.

This year’s evening events feature David Taylor’s hum-orous Thursday night presentation that includes stories and an overview of his hand-appliqué technique. On Friday night, Amy Ellis shares how she found her creative voice and went from frazzled mom to fulfilled quilter, designer, author and mom.
