MINOOKA, Ill. — Mr. Frank Michael Betkis, 67, of Minooka, Ill., passed away at his home Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013.
He was born June 22, 1946, to the late Stella (Paulauskis) and Frank A. Betkis in Chicago, where he was raised. Frank also resided in Romeoville, Ill., Woodridge, Ill., and Key West, Fla., where he thoroughly enjoyed his “retirement job” as a dockmaster.
Survivors include his wife, Carol (Carlin) Betkis; one daughter, Lisa Myrato; two sons, Frankie and Michael Betkis; three grandchildren; as well as two stepsons, Bryan Kerr and Bret Thompson.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Frank owned and operated his own tractor/trailer, transporting primarily for Dart Transport.
He enjoyed boating, tinkering and especially his Harley-Davidson until health prevented him from riding. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 West U.S. 6, at Deerpath Dr., Morris. Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in St. Casimir Cemetery, Chicago.
