Charges filed in 2010 armed robbery of store

An Oswego man Friday was charged with a December 2010 armed robbery at the Dollar General Store in Oswego.

Deamontae Jackson, 20, of Oswego, has been charged with six counts of armed robbery. His bond was set at $250,000, requiring a cash deposit of $25,000 to secure his release.

Kendall County sheriff’s deputies, according to a press release, responded on Dec. 12, 2010, to an armed robbery that had occurred at the Dollar General in the 70 block of Boulder Hill Pass, near Montgomery, in unincorporated Kendall County. A handgun was displayed and cash was taken, but no one was injured.

Detectives began an investigation at the time and, after recently receiving new information, were able to secure charges against Jackson.
