Morris Chiefs swept by Oswego Blue

The Morris Chiefs youth football club went 0-4 in its season-opening games at home versus Oswego Blue on Sunday, Aug. 11.

 

VARSITY

Oswego 19,

Morris 0

Tyler Petty led the charge with two tackles for a loss and a recovery. Also, Brennan Goff had a recovery with two tackles for a loss.

 

JUNIOR VARSITY

Oswego 7,

Morris 0

Morris gave up an opening-drive TD before settling in. The Chiefs were led by Dakota Revels with five tackles and one fumble recovery. Other notables were Devin Harsh with five tackles, Patrick Keeling with four tackles and Evan Lindemuth with four tackles and four assists.

 

LIGHTWEIGHTS

Oswego 19,

Morris 0

Leading the way on defense was Zane Comrie with 10 tackles. Other notables were Xander Nicholson, Matt Luke Jr.  and Justin Sendra, all with seven assists.

 

SUPER LIGHTWEIGHTS

Oswego 6,

Morris 0, OT

Shane Potter led the way with six tackles and two fumble recoveries. Noah Whillock followed  with five  tackles and one  fumble recovery. Demetrius Hopper had six tackles.
