Kendall Republicans to gather for annual picnic

Pig roast slated Aug. 24 in Yorkville

YORKVILLE – The Kendall County GOP Annual Family Picnic and Pig Roast will be packed with fun, food and fellowship.

On Saturday at the Kendall County Fairgrounds, 10826 Illinois 71, Yorkville, there will be activities for kids and adults from 3 to 5 p.m., with food to follow.

Admission provides access to the pig roast, beverages for adults and kids, a softball game, pony rides, duck pull, balloon animals, games and ice cream.

All statewide and local Republican officials have been invited, as well as all known candidates for statewide and local offices. Treasurer Dan Rutherford and fellow gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner, Bob Grogan for state treasurer, Paul Schimpf for attorney general, Darlene Senger and Chris Balkema for 11th Congressional District and Congressman Randy Hultgren have all been invited.

Join them and fellow Republicans for a great family picnic.

The Republican Women will hold their famous bake sale with a variety of items available for purchase.  

Purchase your tickets online at Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under and $25 for a family of two adults and their children.

Tickets purchased in advance will be held at the door.  

All Republicans are encouraged to attend, whether new to the area, wanting to be involved in politics or wanting to meet some like-minded people.
