On June 2, 2011, Kendall County Sheriff's deputies responded to a reported armed robbery at the Oswego Food Mart on Light Road in Oswego. No one was injured in the incident, but U.S. currency was taken.

While an investigation was opened into the matter, it was not until recently that new information was received. That new information led to the arrest of Deamontae Jackson, a 20 year old man from the 600 block of Vista Drive, Oswego.

Jackson was charged with four counts of armed robbery in relation to this incident, after also being charged recently with six counts of armed robbert for his alleged involvement in a 2010 armed robbert of the Dollar General in Montgomery.

Jackson is still in custody at the Kane County Corrections Center on an unrelated matter. Jackson's bond for charges stemming from Kendall County totals $500,000, which means $50,000 must be posted for his release.
