Baby, photo events kick off Corn Fest

Entry deadline is Sept. 17 for both shows

The 24th annual Grundy County Corn Festival Baby Show and Photo Contest will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Morris Community High School auditorium.

Entries are $7 for each show and may be dropped of fat the Corn Festival office, 909 N. Liberty St., Morris. The office is in the train depot. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Corn Festival office entrance is at the back of the building. Deadline for entry is 5 p.m. Wednesday. No entries will be accepted by phone, fax or mail. No entries will be accepted on the day of the show. Entries for children younger than 6 months of age will not be accepted. Categories are: 6 to 12 months, 13 to 23 months, 2 years, 3 years and 4 to 5 years. Boys and girls are judged separately. There is also a category for twins and/or triplets.

Deadline for parade
applications is Friday

Corn Festival parade applications are due Friday.

The parade steps off at 2 p.m. Sept. 29. Applications are available at the festival’s office, 909 N. Liberty St., or visit www.cornfestival.org.
