JOLIET – Students named to the University of St. Francis Orientation Board for the start of the 2013-14 school year included three Morris residents.
As board members, Kori Beck, Shannon Mudro and Delaney Murphy assisted with new student orientation, consisting of move-in, a welcome ceremony and a host of activities designed to acclimate and engage new students.
This year, the trio and their fellow board members assisted a record number of freshman and their families Aug. 15 to 18 as they moved into the residence halls and became orientated with USF's Joliet campus.
USF's Director of Student Development Dominique Annis said Orientation Board members are ambassadors for the university.
"Being a member of the Orientation Board is an exciting opportunity to meet new students and assist in their successful transition to university life," she said. "Orientation Board members must be a positive, caring individual, concerned about the adjustment of all new students to the university."
