PERU – Book lovers and readers, get ready. A new, full-service bookstore is coming to Peru Mall.
Book World, an independent Midwest retailer, will open a 3,388-square-foot store next to Kirlin’s Hallmark on Sept. 27.
The new store will offer roughly 12,000 titles at any given time in both hardcover and paperback. Book World is known for its selection of best-sellers, children’s books, regional and nature titles, as well as an array of more than 3,000 magazines, toys, games, puzzles, stuffed animals, greeting cards, calendars, trading cards and newspapers.
Areas of the store will be designated by various interests, including best-sellers, fiction, mystery, travel, world events and a section devoted to children’s books. The quality and the quantity of titles for young people, combined with stuffed animals, toys and games, make the children’s section appealing and inviting.
Given the store’s location in Peru, an area surrounded by state parks, customers can expect to find an emphasis on regional and nature titles, including Illinois wildlife, recreation, tourism and travel.
Another emphasis will be history books about the Land of Lincoln and President Lincoln. Sports fans will welcome titles about their favorite teams, such as the Bears, Cubs, Bulls, Blackhawks and Illini.
Shoppers can tap into Book World’s bonus bucks program that rewards customers for every purchase made. Online shoppers are rewarded with free shipping.
Book World is an independent chain of more than 45 full-service book stores located throughout Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota. The company is located in Appleton, Wis. For information, visit www.bookworldstores.com or Facebook.
