Two earn NCC Presidential Scholarships

Eastman, Holstine started studies this fall

NAPERVILLE – Two local residents have earned Presidential Scholarships, awarded to academically talented and highly motivated students, to North Central College in Naperville.

Jessica Eastman, a graduate of Morris Community High School, majoring in physics, and Adam Holstine, a graduate of Minooka Community High School, majoring in finance, began their studies at North Central this fall.

The Presidential Scholarship is the top merit-based scholarship at North Central College and is offered to less than 15 percent of the incoming class. The scholarship is based on a combination of a student’s high school grade-point average from core academic classes and ACT/SAT test scores and is renewable for up to four years.

Founded in 1861, North Central College is an independent, comprehensive college of the liberal arts and sciences that offers more than 55 undergraduate majors and graduate programming in seven areas.

Located in the Historic District of Naperville, Illinois, North Central College is just 30 miles from Chicago’s Loop. With more than 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students, North Central is committed to academic excellence; a climate that emphasizes leadership, ethics, values and service; a curriculum that balances job-related knowledge with a liberal arts foundation; and a caring environment with small classes.
