Published: Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

Peace Lutheran Church of Morris will hold an informational meeting at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 27 for anyone interested in learning more about the church and becoming a member.

Peace Lutheran is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).

Worship services are at 9 a.m. Sunday with Holy Communion (we practice open communion) each Sunday.

An education hour for youth and adults follows at 10:15 a.m.

Why Peace Lutheran of Morris: Jesus said the two greatest commandments are to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength,” and “To love your neighbor as yourself.”

We believe Peace Lutheran exists not just for ourselves, but the world around us.

As a congregation, Peace Lutheran members gather each week to worship in order to be renewed, strengthened and then sent out to share the love of God in our daily lives.

Peace Lutheran welcomes the community the congregation as we work to fulfill our mission: “We go to share with others God’s saving love in Jesus, that all may know the hope of his promises and the joy of his peace.”

The church is located at Lisbon Road and Candlelight Lane. The Rev. Luanne Brettisch is the pastor.

You can visit the website at www.plcmorris.org, or call the church office at 815-942-1010 for information.
