Marjorie “Lorraine” (Weber) Fritz

MORRIS, Ill. – Marjorie “Lorraine” (Weber) Fritz passed away peacefully on Oct. 8, 2013, in Morris, Ill.

She was born Aug. 12, 1928, in Morris, the daughter of the late Harvey and Dorothy (Johnson) Lund.

Lorraine was a graduate of Morris Community High School, class of 1946.

On Aug. 2, 1947, she married Ewald “Eddie” Weber, who passed away Nov. 16, 1960. In March, 1964, Lorraine married Erich Fritz.

Lorraine was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. A great homemaker and wife, her interests included church, social activities and needlepoint. 

She is survived by her husband, Erich; her children, Larry (Marissa) Weber and Tom Weber, all of Morris; grandchildren, Doug and Stephanie, also of Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is one brother, Richard (Lorna) Lund of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eddie; and a sister, Mr. and Mrs. Homer (Gerry) Carr.

The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick Lohse of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris.

Memorials may be made to the Walnut Grove Activity Fund in Lorraine’s name.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the U. C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home, 301 W. Washington St., Morris.
