Constance ‘Connie’ Joy (Henne) Stacy

MORRIS, Ill. – Constance “Connie” Joy (Henne) Stacy, 53, of Morris, Ill., passed away unexpectedly at the Morris Hospital Emergency Department early Saturday morning, Oct. 12, 2013.

Connie was born Feb. 20, 1960, in Worth, Ill., the daughter of David and Clariece (Vanderwagon) Henne. She graduated from Morris High School and married Dennis Stacy in 1978.

She and Dennis owned That Perennial Place in Morris.

Connie was a passionate owner, breeder and lover of her Bernese Mountain Dogs. If asked, her greatest achievement in life was her beautifully dynamic family.

Connie is survived by her parents, David and Clariece Henne of Morris; her husband, Dennis Stacy and their three children, DJ (Lexi) Stacy, David (Stephanie) Stacy and Cassie (Josh) Blades, all of Morris; her six beloved grandchildren, Addison, Mikenna, Rylen and Dayne Stacy, and Jillian and Charlie Blades; two sisters, Donalee (Diccon) Ong of Hudson, Ohio, and Laura (Todd) Lyle of Morris; and five nephews, Simon, Elliott and Henry Ong, and John and Joe Lyle.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 17 from 3 p.m. until the time of the 7 p.m. memorial service at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home, 301 W Washington St., Morris. Cremation rites have been accorded.

The family’s preference is donations in Connie’s name to The Make-A-Wish-Foundation or to the Berner-Garde Foundation at www.bernergarde.org. The Berner-Garde Foundation was established to collect, maintain and disseminate information about genetic diseases observed in the Bernese Mountain Dog.

Arrangements have been entrusted with U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home, 301 W Washington St., Morris. For information visit www.ucdaviscallahan.com or contact the funeral home at 815-942-0084. Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting the website.
