The Healing Spirit adds office in Channahon

CHANNAHON – The Healing Spirit a massage office in Morris has expanded, adding a location in Channahon.

The Healing Spirit has been in business since January 2000, and in Morris since 2003. Owner Vicki Fields has been practicing massage since 1999 and chose to expand her business by adding a full service spa to Channahon, according to a news release from the business.

“It has been my dream to expand my practice to include other therapists and offer facials and waxing to my clients,” Fields said in the news release. “Thankfully I was able to do so because of the generous group of friends and clients who have been a part of my life for several years.” 

In addition to a wide variety of massages, custom facials and waxing, The Healing Spirit also has a couples’ room. The staff includes nine therapists, one esthetician and two front-desk staff. Therapists are all licensed by the state and have a collective 38 years of experience in massage, according to the news release.

The staff has training in a wide variety of techniques and can do relaxation/stress reduction, sports, therapeutic, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, lymphatic, reflexology, trigger point, cranial sacral, reiki and chakra work. It also offers a soothing foot treatment for those with diabetes, plantar fasciitis or relaxation for those who are on their feet all day.

The estheticians have five years of experience and are trained in a variety of skin care and waxing techniques, and are certified with the Dermal Institute in Chicago.
