October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and last year the Grundy County Health Department put up a “pink tree” to celebrate and honor those who have battled cancer.
This year, the health department has again put up a tree in the foyer of the Administration Building called the “ribbon tree,” according to a news release from the health department.
There is a basket filled with various color ribbons to put on the tree; each color specifies different cancers. If you know someone who has been affected by cancer, take a moment to write their name on a ribbon and place it on the tree.
Anyone who comes through the Administration Building is welcome to put a ribbon on the tree.
The Administration Building is located at 1320 Union St. in Morris.
