MORRIS — Amie Ann McSweeney-Porak, 40, of Morris and formerly of Plainfield, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Morris Hospital.
Born May 8, 1973, in Joliet, Amie was the daughter of the Levon Mulligan and the late Thomas Mulligan. She was raised and educated in Plainfield, graduating from Plainfield High School with the class of 1991. Amie worked as a nurses aid and medical billing processor until more recently becoming a homemaker. She was a member of New Community Church in Morris, and will be remembered for her love of animals, spending time with her family and fishing.
Survivors include her mother, Levon Mulligan (nee Honeycutt); two children, Caitlyne Lee Bayuk of Dwight and Maggie Shannon McSweeney of Morris; one brother, Thomas (Leah) Mulligan of Joliet; one niece, Ashley Mulligan; and one nephew, Charles Sanville.
Amie was preceded in death by her husband, Brian T. Porak; and her father, Thomas Franklin Mulligan.
Visitation will take place on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 E. Washington St. (one block east of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Pastor Kevin Yandell of New Community Church will officiate and cremation rights will follow.
