Tickets available for Theatre Guild's 'Proof'

The Morris Theatre Guild's 2013-14 season's first production, "Proof," starts this week.

MORRIS – Tickets for the first production in Morris Theatre Guild’s 2013-14 season are now available.

The first production, David Auburn’s “Proof,” is directed by Mathew Root, assistant directed by Michelle Vrtis and starring Melanie Ruettiger, Joseph Ennenbach, Tricia Thomas and Gibby Kirby.

“Proof” is the story of Catherine, a 25-year-old would-be genius coming to grips with the life she was forced to abandon and the life others want her to live after the death of her father.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children when purchased at the door, or $12 for adults and $10 for children when pre-purchased.

Season tickets for all four main stage productions – “Proof,” the musical “Working,” directed by Judy Miller, “Wait Until Dark,” directed by Jim Welch, and “Xanadu,” directed by Jenna Stinson – are available for $49.

A fifth show, “Candy Cane Chaos,” is being added this season. It is a children’s theatre production written and directed by Vrtis and will be presented in December.

“Proof” hits the stage Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and Nov. 15, 16 and 17, with Friday and Saturday shows starting at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.
