Information sought on Coal City incidents

The Grundy County Crime Stoppers is seeking information about the following incidents.

The first is a residential burglary that happened in Coal City, according to a news release from Crime Stoppers. About 9:40 p.m. Oct. 23, a residential burglary was reported to a residence in the 800 block of Covey Lane.

The homeowner confronted a male subject wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a white T-shirt underneath.

The suspect fled on foot and headed west.

The second is an arson that happened in Coal City, according to a second news release from Crime Stoppers.

About 1:45 a.m. Nov. 8, an arson was reported to a delivery van while it was parked at Rolando’s warehouse in the 600 block of South Mazon Street. A cinder block was thrown through a window and cardboard boxes inside the van were set on fire.

Anyone with information about these or other criminal activity in Grundy County can call Crime Stoppers at 815-942-9667. Callers may remain anonymous and rewards of up to $5,000 are offered for information which leads to the arrest of the offenders.
