Police investigate attempted armed robbery

MORRIS – Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that reportedly occurred to a Taco Bell employee early Saturday morning.

An employee exited Taco Bell, 1820 N. Division St., about 5 a.m. Saturday.

As he entered the parking lot, a man in the parking lot indicated he had a weapon.

“The victim immediately fled the area and called police,” Morris Police Chief Brent Dite said.

The alleged robber did not follow the employee and did not obtain any items.

Police are investigating the incident.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a black ski mask, green jacket and khaki pants.

Anyone with information on this incident should call Morris police at 815-942-2131.
