Audrey E. Kennedy

Audrey E. Kennedy (nee Lewis), of Minooka, Ill., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, Ill.

Born in Ashland, Wis., she was the daughter of the late John and Alta Lewis (nee Taylor).

She was the proud and beloved mother of Sandie (Bob) O’Leary and Bryan (Cathy) Jones; dearly loved grandmother of Nic Jones; and dear sister of Jack (Bev) Lewis, Shirley (Ed) Berard and Geri Lanche. Also left to cherish her memory are numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Gene (the late Mary Jane) Lewis and Erv (Barb) Lewis.

Audrey will be fondly remembered for her passion for cats, kittens and watching oldmovies. She was a patron for many years at Cookie’s Restaurant in Minooka where sheenjoyed dinner and the company of friends.

Memorial Talk for Audrey E. Kennedy will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at The Maple Funeral Home, 24300 W. Ford Road, Channahon, Ill., with Jeffrey Mills officiating. Interment will be private. The visitation also will be Monday from 4 p.m. until memorial talk begins.
