Two Morris High students taken to hospital after taking pills not prescribed to them

MORRIS -- Two students at Morris Community High School have been taken to Morris Hospital after taking prescription pills that were not prescribed to them.

Superintendent Dr. Pat Halloran said students took the medication at school, but did not know the details of how the incident was reported. It was the decision of the school nurse and administration to have the students evaluated at Morris Hospital.

On the scanner, dispatchers reported to emergency responders a student was feeling ill after taking too many pills.

"The incident is under investigation," Halloran said. "We have no further details at this time."
