The awards recognize individual volunteers in several categories who provide selfless service to the state and to highlight the importance of volunteerism and community service, according to a new release from Quinn’s office. Businesses that support community service also will be recognized.

Nominations are due by Jan. 31. Visit serve.Illinois.gov for the nomination forms and information.

Recipients will be notified by April 1.
