MINOOKA – Members of Minooka Women’s Club walked Jan. 19 in the Mini Relay for Life, at the Central Campus of Minooka Community High School.

Donna Engel on staff at the school had been the club’s guest speaker at its January meeting and gave details about the cancer walk hosted by the school’s National Honor Society. During the business meeting, which followed, members voted on a donation to be given to this fundraiser. JoAnn Dollinger organized Bunco games played after the meeting. Winners were Nita Caruso, most Buncos, and Donna Chesko, last Bunco.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 4 at St. Mary’s Church hall in Minooka. The guest speaker will be Sgt. Ken Briley who will be talking about Minooka’s emergency systems. All women of the Minooka, Channahon and Shorewood areas are invited to attend.
