MORRIS – Peace Lutheran Church will hold its annual Trivia Challenge at 6 p.m. Saturday to raise dollars for the Souper Bowl of Caring.

Peace Lutheran Church is at the corner of Lisbon Road and Candlelight Lane in Morris.

The community is invited to get a team together, select a theme for their table, bring a snack and make a donation per person.

Prizes will be awarded for the best theme and decorations and for the most correct answers.

A “soup cookoff” also will be held with judging at 6:30 p.m.

Souper Bowl of Caring weekend is a nationwide event that will raise a lot of money and food for the needy.

Peace’s confirmation class collects food donations, dollars from the congregation and hosts the trivia challenge, with all money staying in the community.

The church is donating the entire Souper Bowl collection to We Care of Grundy County.

Before the trivia night, from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday will be the Souper Bowl Service Blitz where the community can drop off nonperishable items at the church.

On Sunday, Souper Bowl of Caring is held for Peace’s congregation where people can drop dollars into large soup pots.
